FALKIRK RECORDED MUSIC SOCIETYIf you like to listen to classical music on the radio or CD's at home, do you realise how much more enjoyment you could get from it by joining a group of people who share your interest? Our programmes often contain unusual items not heard on Classic FM and our speakers try to include more information than you would find in most sleeve notes. At the interval and at the end of the evening there is an opportunity to chat to the speakers and to look at the CD's they have played. The Society meets fortnightly on Tuesdays at the Brown Street Hall of the Camelon Parish Church. The entrance is in Mansionhouse Road and there is adequate parking outside. Everyone with an interest in classical music will be made very welcome. The annual subscription is a mere £12 per annum - approximately £1 per evening and less than a full-priced CD! If you would like to know more about us please contact Mrs Anne Morrison (01324 485321) or Mike Turnbull (01324 627115). Alternatively, why not come along as a visitor to one of our meetings. The syllabus for the coming session includes: 2009 Sep 15 British Light Music Mike Turnbull Sep 29 Richard Strauss Ian Osborne Oct 13 Martinu Dennis Westfield Oct 27 Britten & Purcell Robin Bell Nov 24 Bach at the Piano Trevor Rose Dec 8 Christmas CD's Members 2010 Jan 12 2009 Releases Mike/Ian Jan 26 The Sunny South Rev.
